We are pleased to announce The Hub’s first official Mega-Anthology, which will be published online on

Friday, December 19th, 2008.

Theme: TWISTED FICTION

For this, our biggest anthology of the year, we are looking for something a little different...or a lot different, depending on where your muse takes you.  The theme for this anthology is "Twisted Fiction", and what we're looking for is, quite simply, reality with a twist.  Stories submitted to this anthology must be set on Earth and in the present, but with a difference - something that alters the reality we know.  It can be something from Earth's history that never happened, or something that did happen that shouldn't have.  Or it can be something in the modern day that suddenly and inexplicably changes.  Or the change can be related to something that has never been, but you want to explore what the world would be like if it had.  Maybe the dinosaurs hadn't died out?  Maybe we live in a world without sunlight?  Maybe electricity had never been "discovered"?  The only stipulation is that your story must be set on present day Earth and must explore the "twist" you write into the reality you create.

All submissions to this anthology are governed by, and must comply with the requirements of, The Hub’s general Story & Poetry Submission Guidelines and Anthology Rules. Please make sure to review those carefully.

Graphic Usage: The Hub Design Team create a special design style and theme for each anthology/writing project.  However, authors are free to submit suitable graphics for inclusion in their story if the graphics are necessary, appropriate and the appropriate permissions have been obtained.  Use of such graphics will be at the sole discretion of the manager of the anthology/writing project.  Hub Resident, Featured and Associated Authors may also design their own story icon for use on their site, but a story icon fitting the anthology theme will be designed on behalf of authors for use on the anthology page and within submissions.

Mega-Anthology Manager: Rob.  If you have any questions, please contact him at: rob@hub-writing.org.
